Steward's Report
Rayjan Eddy was slow to begin. Rhiannon Royale crossed to the inside soon after the start, checking Rayjan Eddy. Our Rocket checked off Hartley Steph soon after the start. Hartley Steph and Wolfie's Sook collided approaching the 250m mark. Ginny Allen crossed to the outside at the 200m mark, checking Rhiannon Royale and Hartley Steph, severely checking Ginny Allen. Our Rocket galloped on the heels of Big Tilly at the 200m mark. Rayjan Eddy eased approaching the winning post. Rhiannon Royale faltered approaching the winning post.
Rhiannon Royale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Rayjan Eddy was vetted and revetted following event four. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Meyer, the trainer of the greyhound Rayjan Eddy regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Rayjan Eddy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Meyer pleaded guilty to the charge, Rayjan Eddy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
