Steward's Report
Rayda was quick to begin. Zoenah's Legacy and Mr. Pendles were slow to begin. Marvellous Midge eased approaching the first turn. Panda Rebel and Dr. Colt raced wide approaching the second turn. Lottie Glenda and Panda Rebel collided on the third turn checking Lottie Glenda. Zoenah's Legacy was checked off Mr. Pendles entering the back straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Spoljaric the trainer of the greyhound Marvellous Midge regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn. Marvellous Midge was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn dew claw on the left front foot, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Marvellous Midge with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Spoljaric pleaded not guilty to the charge, Marvellous Midge was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69( B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
