Mia Crazy was quick to begin.  Bob's Cash and I'm Neegan were slow to begin.  Mega Hazel and Magic Muzza collided soon after the start.  Bob's Cash and Hurricane Patch collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn severely checking Bob's Cash which stumbled and brushed the running rail; Little Mischa was checked as a result.  Bob's Cash was checked off Hurricane Patch on the first turn.  Mega Hazel was checked off Magic Muzza on the first turn.  Hurricane Patch raced wide on the home turn.

Acting on a confirmed telephone call from Mr. William Dawes, the representative for Trainer, Mega McKayla was a late scratching at 1:15pm due to a ligament injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Good One Carl was a late scratching at 2:18pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a split webbing to the right fore foot. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Big Butterbean was slow to begin.  Sandtrack Sniper was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Zipping Foy was checked off Valkyrie Rose soon after the start and collided with Riverbank Lark.  Topaz Rose and Riverbank Lark collided on the first turn severely checking Topaz Rose; Zipping Foy and Sandtrack Sniper were checked as a result.  Zipping Foy and Sandtrack Sniper collided in the back straight.  Zipping Foy crossed out in the back straight checking Topaz Rose causing Sandtrack Sniper to race wide.  Sandtrack Sniper galloped on Topaz Rose on the second turn checking Topaz Rose which raced wide.  Zipping Foy raced wide entering the home straight.

Topaz Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor abrasion to the left hock, no stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Foy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a split webbing on the right front foot, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Boom Flash and Apila Cash earlier today.

A  sample was unable to be obtained fom Dyna Misty earlier today, a pre-race sample was subsequently taken upon arrival on the course, prior to kennelling.

Apila Cash was slow to begin.  Boom Flash, Zipping Carly and Sheza Dragon collided soon after the start checking Zipping Carly.  Boom Flash galloped on Sheza Dragon on the first turn checking Boom Flash, Big Skeeta and Middle Trucker causing Zipping Carly to fall.  Sheza Dragon was checked off Apila Cash on the second turn.

Zipping Carly was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 7 it was reported that the greyhound sustained a toe injury on the left front foot, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Destructo Rat was quick to begin.  Zipping Tina and Lektra Magic collided soon after the start.  Barney Boloney and Octo Burn collided approaching the first turn causing Barney Boloney to collide with Zipping Tina.   Barney Boloney, Octo Burn, Delta's Magic, Zipping Tina, Another Value and Lektra Magic collided on the first turn checking Barney Boloney, Zipping Tina and Delta's Magic.  Octo Burn and Lektra Magic collided in the back straight.  Another Value, Destructo Rat and Aston Salute collided on the second turn.  Destructo Rat and Aston Salute collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Barney Boloney and Lektra Magic collided on the home turn checking Lektra Magic.  Delta's Magic and Aston Salute collided in the home straight.

Rayda was quick to begin.  Zoenah's Legacy and Mr. Pendles were slow to begin.  Marvellous Midge eased approaching the first turn.  Panda Rebel and Dr. Colt raced wide approaching the second turn.  Lottie Glenda and Panda Rebel collided on the third turn checking Lottie Glenda.  Zoenah's Legacy was checked off Mr. Pendles entering the back straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Spoljaric the trainer of the greyhound Marvellous Midge regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn.  Marvellous Midge was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn dew claw on the left front foot, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Marvellous Midge with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mr. Spoljaric pleaded not guilty to the charge, Marvellous Midge was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69( B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Barnie's Blaster was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustianed an abrasion to the outside toe on the right hind foot, no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Moles, the trainer of Rusty Mia regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Rusty Mia last raced on 3 July 2017 and is returning after a seasonal spell.

Nitro Hook and Bounce Pass were quick to begin.  Oakmont Octum was slow to begin.  Lilty Allen and Mandela Sun collided approaching the first turn checking Mandela Sun.  Nitro Hook and Fleur De Rose collided on the first turn.  Anjing Betina raced wide in the back straight.  Nitro Hook and Fleur De Rose collided in the back straight checking Fleur De Rose.  Fleur De Rose and Anjing Betina collided on the home turn.  Lilty Allen and Bounce Pass collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Ragen, the trainer of Pie Problem regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Pie Problem last raced on 15 May 2017 and is returning after a spell and a change of kennels.

Mr. J. Petterson, trainer of Hollywood Nights declared a new weight of 30.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Hollywood Nights last raced at 28.6kg.

Hollywood Nights was slow to begin.  Meeniyan Hawk, Extra Kisses and Elite Eliana collided soon after the start checking Meeniyan Hawk and Elite Eliana.  Extra Kisses, Bluehawk Robert and Pie Problem collided approaching the first turn.  Bluehawk Robert was checked off Pie Problem on the first turn causing Elite Eliana to gallop on Bluehawk Robert severely checking Meeniyan Hawk And Elite Eliana.  Pie Problem and Hollywood Nights collided on the first turn checking Hollywood Nights.  Hurricane Craig and Our Echo Rose collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. V. Sultana regarding the direction that the greyhound Hurricane Craig be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

A pre-race sample was taken from It's Debatable.

All Inn Tana and Magic Super collided approaching the first turn.  It's Debatable, Magic Euphoria and Magic Super collided on the first turn.  Hookhimo Fozzio was checked off Magic Super entering the back straight severely checking Vane Power and Hookhimo Fozzio, Hookhimo Fozzio stumbled as a result.  All Inn Tana and Magic Super collided in the back straight.

Galaxy Sprite was a late scratching at 2:04pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to soreness to both wrists. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Oliver Cruise was slow to begin.  Oliver Cruise and Queen Dunroaming collided approaching the first turn.  Oliver Cruise galloped on Queen Dunroaming on the first turn checking Five Lights and Bandit Brad and severely checking Oliver Cruise.  Shogun Sammy crossed out on the first turn causing Luna Evening and It's All Bolony to race wide.  Oliver Cruise crossed to the outside on the first turn checking Bandit Brad which raced wide ass a result.  Bandit Brad was checked off Oliver Cruise approachng the home turn.  Shogun Sammy and Five Lights collided on the home turn checking Five Lights.

Bliss Street was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of the meeting and was not cleared to race.

Trap Queen was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling and was cleared to race.

Satisfactory trial result (GAR 77A):-

Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Ragen the trainer of Boston Road regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Boston Road last raced on 21/01/17.  Ms. Ragen stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right fibula injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Boston Road trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 31.3kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4 starters.  The time of the trial was 18.48 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.5 lengths.  Boston Road was cleared.
