Steward's Report
My Girl Nahlah was slow to begin. Gunai Maverick raced wide in the home straight.
Sundowner underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be severely ataxic. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under the provisions of GAR 42, Sundowner is prohibited from competing in an event until such time as both a veterinary clearance is provided to the satisfaction of Stewards and a Satisfactory Trial is completed pursuant to GAR 132. Further, under the provisions of GAR 42(3), Sundowner is suspended from racing for 28 days at all tracks.
A post–race sample was taken from Blue Rise – the winner of the event.
