Varuchi Pass, Ollie Buck, Give Me Wings and Revved Up Dee were slow to begin.
Revved Up Dee and Give Me Wings collided soon after the start severely checking Revved Up Dee which faltered and tailed off. Zing Zang Zena and Ollie Buck collided approaching the first turn. Saddle Tank checked off Counting Pennies approaching the first turn. Counting Pennies, Zing Zang Zena and Ollie Buck collided approaching the second turn checking Zing Zang Zena and Ollie Buck. Saddle Tank checked off Zing Zang Zena entering the back straight and collided with Ollie Buck. Varuchi Pass and Ollie Buck collided in the back straight. Saddle Tank checked off Give Me Wings approaching the third turn checking Ollie Buck. Varurchi Pass checked off Saddle Tank on the home turn.
Revved Up Dee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right elbow and right trapezius injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
