This meeting was declared hot weather affected. In accordance with the policy the kennel temperature was recorded at the start of kennelling (19 degrees). At the close of kennelling the outside temperature was 30 degrees.

Stewards spoke to Mr B. Pursell the handler Saint David after the greyhound was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr Pursell was issued with a warning and reminded when kennelling he ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure.

Stewards spoke to kennel attendant, Mr P. Skerret after the greyhound Saint David was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr Skerret was reminded of his responsibilities and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in future. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.

Dutch Legacy was quick to begin.  Rippn' Sam was slow to begin.

Menzali, Rollin' With It and Miss Terindah collided soon after the start.  Miss Terindah and Saint David collided soon after the start.  Miss Terindah checked off Saint David approaching the first turn.  Dutch Legacy and Menzali collided on the first turn.  Miss Terindah checked off Saint David approaching the second turn.  Rollin' With It checked off Menzali entering the back straight and collided with Saint David, which checked as result.   Saint David raced wide in the back straight.  Miss Terindah and Rollin' With It collided several times approaching the home turn.  

Saint David which performed below market expectations was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to the trainer Mr R. Britton regarding the greyhounds performance, Mr Britton stated that in his opinion Saint David has difficulty in mustering early pace and would be better suited over a longer journey.

Rainbow Ruby was quick to begin.  Immen Bale was slow to begin.

Bruce Tycoon crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Dyna Fabrice, Angel Dash and Mossimo Bale.  Angel Dash and Dyna Fabrice collided on the first turn.  Angel Dash, Dyna Fabrice and Lila Bale collided approaching the second turn.  Dyna Fabrice and Lila Bale collided on the second turn checking Lila Bale.  Bruce Tycoon clipped the heels of Rainbow Ruby approaching the home turn.  Rainbow Ruby and Bruce Tycoon collided approaching the winning post.

Scorching Fella and Blossom Belle collided soon after the start.  Aston It Is, Henry, Scorching Fella, Blossom Belle and Miss Dee Meadows collided on the first turn checking Henry.  Miss Dee Meadows, Rig Fifty Five, Blossom Belle and Scorching Fella collided entering the front straight checking Blossom Belle.  Rig Fifty Five checked off Scorching Fella in the front straight.  Rig Fifty Five and Miss Dee Meadows collided on the second turn.  Henry checked off Azkaban entering the back straight.  Henry and Blossom Belle collided on the home turn.  Aston It Is and Azkaban collided entering the home straight and again several times in the home straight causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced. After viewing head on vision Stewards were satisfied that the collision was caused by both greyhounds shifting ground. Scorching Fella raced wide in the home straight.

Crash Jagger and Jackson Benz collided soon after the start.  Vostok and Fleur Delacour collided soon after the start.  Perceptive and Vostok collided approaching the first turn.  Fleur Delacour, Vostok and Perceptive collided on the first turn checking Vostok and Perceptive, both greyhounds raced wide as a result.  Perceptive checked off Fleur Delacour in the back straight.  Liam checked off Quick Jagger approaching the home turn.  Fleur Delacour and Liam collided in the home straight.

Brueghelino was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right deltoid injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Extreme Magic was vetted following an incident in the catching pen.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
