Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 23 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.8 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Pursuant to the GRV Hot Weather Policy, prior to race 1, Stewards dispensed with the requirement of greyhounds being required to remain on course for the specified time as the outside temperature had decreased to a reasonable level.
The Stewards were advised that both tracks were deeply harrowed on 11 December 2024.
A pre-race urine sample was unable to be taken from Seek To Fly, a post-race blood sample was obtained.
Special Plays and Aston Ember were quick to begin. Maximum Hannah was slow to begin.
