Steward's Report
An out of competition urine sample was taken from Mr. Thomas on 9/12/24 pursuant to GAR 139.
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Bengal Beast.
Bengal Beast and Jay Walker Rose were quick to begin. Go See Ian was slow to begin.
Bengal Beast contacted the running rail turning off the back straight, subsequently checking Sally Can Wait, resulting in the greyhound falling. These greyhounds underwent post-race veterinary examinations and no apparent injuries were reported.
Jay Walker Rose underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the right hind. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mrs. Sharon-Lee Chignell regarding Jay Walker Rose’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Jay Walker Rose was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Chignell pleaded guilty to the charge. Jay Walker Rose must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
