Due to storm activity in the area this event was initially rescheduled to 9.12pm and due to the continuing extreme weather conditions was further rescheduled to start at 9.28pm.
Ando's Mac and Yarraman Ace collided soon after the start. Blue Gum Hill checked off Not Available soon after the start. Yarraman Ace, Ando's Mac, Not Available and Big Flood collided approaching the first turn checking Not Available and Blue Gum Hill. Ando's Mac and Yarraman Ace collided on the first turn. Not Available, Ando's Mac and Yarraman Ace collided on the first turn checking Yarraman Ace and Blue Gum Hill resulting in both greyhounds racing wide.
