Steward's Report
Parie Shiraz was slow to begin.
Remain Seated, Bling Legacy, Bliss Street and Orlando Cruise collided soon after the start, checking Bling Legacy, Bliss Street and Orlando Cruise. Parie Shiraz and Bling Legacy collided at the 250m mark. Parie Shiraz checked off Bling Legacy at the 200m mark. Remain Seated crossed to the outside at the 200m mark. Bliss Street crossed to the rail at the 150m mark, checking My Fernando Tim.
Bliss Street marred Brave Innings approaching the winning post and was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Gerry Orr, the trainer of the greyhound Bliss Street, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Bliss Street with marring. Mr Orr pleaded not guilty to the charge, Bliss Street was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
