Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Yard Attendant Mrs. E. Delios did not act in any official capacity for the event.
A pre-race sample was taken from Armadale Lass.
Jack The Fipa was slow to begin. Laurentide Ice, Jetmag Storm and Vane Power collided on the first turn severely checking Jetmag Storm which fell. Vane Power and Jack The Fipa collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Striking Bikini eased approaching the home turn checking Ends Well. Laurnetide Ice and Jack The Fipa collided entering the home straight.
Jetmag Storm was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Farley the trainer of the greyhound Striking Bikini regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Striking Bikini was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right dew claw, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Striking Bikini with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Farley pleaded guilty to the charge, Striking Bikini was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Diaco regarding the direction that the greyhound Armadale Lass be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
