Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Patch Lane.
Fairy Tiger faltered approaching the first turn and lost considerable ground. Harvey Leigh and Patch Lane collided approaching the first turn checking Patch Lane. Bandit Brad, Patch Lane and Peter's Pride collided on the first turn checking Patch Lane. Bandit Brad and Peter's Pride collided on the first turn severely checking Peter's Pride, Bandit Brad fell as a result causing Fallen Star to race wide checking Harvey Leigh.
Bandit Brad was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the side of the left eye, no stand down period was imposed.
Fairy Tiger was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Tina trialled over 395 metres from box 3, weight 23.1kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.30 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of a head. Zipping Tina was cleared.
Elram Girl trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 27.0kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.67 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.25 lengths. Elram Girl was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Jack the trainer of Diamond Delight regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Diamond Delight last raced on 25/11/16. Mr. Jack stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A Diamond Delight trialled over 315 metres from box 4, weight 26.9kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.67 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.50 lengths. Diamond Delight was cleared.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Cook the trainer of Lady Julian regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Lady Julian last raced on 20/09/16. Mr. Cook stated that Lady Julian was returning to racing following a seasonal spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A Lady Julian trialled over 315 metres from box 2, weight 30.5kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.67 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.25 lengths. Lady Julian was cleared.
