A pre-race sample was taken from Barroom Express.
Azza and Linny Morris were quick to begin. Oakmont Fire and Barroom Express were slow to begin. Black Train, Barroom Blazer and Kobe's Hand collided soon after the start checking Black Train and Kobe's Hand. Kobe's Hand and Barroom Express collided soon after the start. Linny Morris and Oakmont Fire collided in the back straight and again approaching the second turn. Linny Morris and Barroom Express collided approaching the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. K. Minnie regarding the direction that the greyhound Locomotion be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
