Steward's Report
Leinster, Hurricane Bay, West Side Jet and Tophat And Tails were slow to begin. Bushman's Faith, Leinster and Hurricane Bay collided soon after the start, checking Leinster and Hurricane Bay. Zulu Hercules and Hurricane Queen collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn, checking Hurricane Queen. West Side Jet and Tophat And Tails collided soon after the start. Hurricane Queen and Deadly Arrilla collided on the first turn, checking Deadly Arrilla and West Side Jet, and severely checking Hurricane Queen and Bushman's Faith. Bushman's Faith galloped on the heels of Hurricane Queen approaching the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds, Hurricane Queen fell as a result, and both greyhounds tailed off. Deadly Arrilla checked off Hurricane Bay on the home turn.
Hurricane Queen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left stopper bone, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
