Track Curator Mr. H. Brodie advised stewards that the track was lightly harrowed on Monday 15th February 2016. 

Upon inspection of the race track prior to kennelling, Stewards were of the opinion that the track surface was inconsistent in certain areas. Remedial work was undertaken immediately. Stewards inspected the track prior to race one and deemed the surface suitable for racing. 

Suspicious Lee was a late scratching at 11:01am due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Alouette Jack and Spooky Spook were slow to begin. Me Time and Joey Moetis collided soon after the start. Joey Moetis checked off Wilbur on the first turn and collided with Alouette Jack. Me Time checked off Marcus Daking on the first turn, checking Wilbur, Alouette Jack, Joey Moetis and Spooky Spook. Me Time and Wilbur collided approaching the home turn. Joey Moetis checked off Me Time on the home turn and collided with Spooky Spook, causing Spooky Spook to race wide. Alouette Jack and Marcus Daking collided in the home straight. 

Demonishem, Jack Eye Jim and Ok Jake were slow to begin. Dontron, Jack Eye Jim and Runway Gal collided soon after the start, checking Jack Eye Jim and Runway Gal. Runway Gal and Ken's Thunderin' collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Demonishem and Unlocked collided on the first turn, checking Demonishem, Unlocked and Ok Jake. Jack Eye Jim and Alyssa's Girl collided approaching the home turn. Ken's Thunderin' checked off Unlocked on the home turn.

Leinster, Hurricane Bay, West Side Jet and Tophat And Tails were slow to begin. Bushman's Faith, Leinster and Hurricane Bay collided soon after the start, checking Leinster and Hurricane Bay. Zulu Hercules and Hurricane Queen collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn, checking Hurricane Queen. West Side Jet and Tophat And Tails collided soon after the start. Hurricane Queen and Deadly Arrilla collided on the first turn, checking Deadly Arrilla and West Side Jet, and severely checking Hurricane Queen and Bushman's Faith. Bushman's Faith galloped on the heels of Hurricane Queen approaching the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds, Hurricane Queen fell as a result, and both greyhounds tailed off. Deadly Arrilla checked off Hurricane Bay on the home turn.

Hurricane Queen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left stopper bone, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Bushman's Faith was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

A sample was taken from Zulu Hercules - the winner of the event. 

Chatterbox Ella and Kirk Bale collided soon after the start, checking Kirk Bale. Hundred and Judy's Wish collided approaching the first turn. Hundred and Maris Gold collided on the first turn, checking Maris Gold, Judy's Wish, Poker Date and Chatterbox Ella. Kirk Bale and Judy's Wish collided on the home turn, checking Both greyhounds. Kirk Bale, Judy's Wish and Poker Date collided entering the home straight, checking Judy's Wish. 

Thunder Raz was slow to begin. Saywah Tonayo and Mr. Leigh collided soon after the start. Thunder Raz and Saywah Tonayo collided on the first turn, checking Saywah Tonayo. Got Held Up and Mr. Leigh collided on the first turn, checking Mr. Leigh. Thunder Raz and Derby Girl collided approaching the home turn, checking Derby Girl, Fear Helvetia and Saywah Tonayo. 

Due to a technical issue with the semaphore board, the numbers 1, 3, 2 and 8 from the previous event were displayed. After conferring with the Judges the correct numbers of 8, 5,1 and 2 were semaphored and the All Clear given. 

Koch and Yaris Bale were quick to begin. Penance Allen and Vector were slow to begin. Koch and Yaris Bale collided approaching the first turn. Yaris Bale and Dodgy Dede collided on the first turn, checking Vector and New Job Jimmy, and severely checking Yaris Bale and Dodgy Dede. Koch, Bryvon and Ireland's Oyster collided approaching the winning post, checking Ireland's Oyster.

Yaris Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left hind paw, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

Dodgy Dede was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triangle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

A sample was taken from Koch - the winner of the event. 

Following the event the Judges semaphored the numbers of 3, 7, 8 and 1. This was amended to the correct numbers of 3, 7, 1 and 8. Prior to the All Clear given, Stewards notified the TAB along with the on course Broadcaster and advised them of this error and both parties were given the correct numbers. Stewards spoke to Judges Mr. M. McNeil and Mr. T. Umbers and advised them to be more vigilant in future and reminded them of their responsibilities.

Angel Of Glory was a late scratching at 6:01pm on Veterinary advice (GAR 37)(fleas). Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance, before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Iconic Chief was a late scratching at 6:05pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an abscess on the left hind toe. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Eighteen Two was slow to begin. Taz's Man, Rowchester Star and Aston Asteroid collided soon after the start. Deadset Jet checked off World Of Noise approaching the first turn. Eighteen Two checked off Rowchester Star on the home turn.

Deadset Jet was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

A sample was taken from World Of Noise - the winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. T. Deglaitis, the trainer of Deadset Jet regarding the greyhounds performance, in particular over the concluding stages in tonight's event. Ms. Deglaitis stated she had entered Deadset Jet over both  the 390m and 450m distances for tonight however the greyhound had gained a start in the 450m event. Ms. Deglaitis added that in her opinion Deadset Jet was competitve tonight taking into account the reasonably fast time run. Ms. Deglaitis further added that she will look to nominate Deadset Jet in races shorter than 450m in the immeadiate future. Stewads noted her explanation and took no further action.

Fawn Pursuit and Lister Bale collided approaching the first turn. Big Ticket and Queen Kaboom collided approaching the first turn. Cette Away galloped on the heels of Queen Kaboom on the first turn, severely checking both greyhounds, Queen Kaboom fell as a result. Wahlberg checked off Big Ticket approaching the winning post. 

Queen Kaboom was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left wrist and spike wounds to both hind legs, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Jarvis Rhode was slow to begin. My Names Bluey and Kirabilli Meryl collided soon after the start. Jarvis Rhode and Lektra Dame collided approaching the first turn. Flash Deeds checked off Lektra Dame on the first turn, checking Jarvis Rhode and My Names Bluey. Flash Deeds and Kirabilli Meryl collided on the first turn. Lektra Dame and Thanks Cheryl collided approaching the home turn, checking Lektra Dame. Lektra Dame and Kirabilli Meryl collided in the home straight, checking Jarvis Rhode, Lektra Dame and Kirabilli Meryl. Lektra Dame and Kirabilli Meryl collided approaching the winning post, checking both greyhounds. 

My Names Bluey was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Weir-Smith, the trainer of Podium Bound regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Podium Bound last raced on 17th November 2015. Mr. Weir-Smith stated that the greyhound had changed kennels. 

Thomeli Roar and New Club Crawf were slow to begin. Artificial, New Club Crawf and Ella Rhode collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Artificial galloped on the heels of Splish Splashin' approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Thomeli Roar, Splish Splashin', Artificial and Ella Rhode collided approaching the home turn, checking Thomeli Roar, Spilsh Splashin', Artificial, Ella Rhode and New Club Crawf. Artificial and Spilsh Splashin' collided on the home turn. 

Ella Rhode was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Sheehan, the trainer of Happy Hudson regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Happy Hudson last raced on 18th September 2015. Mr. Sheehan stated that the greyhound was recovering from tonsillitis.

Bastet Bale was slow to begin. Banana Blanket, Barked Off and Happy Hudson collided soon after the start, checking Barked Off. Oops, Banana Blanket, Barked Off and Happy Hudson collided on the first turn, checking Oops, Banana Blanket and Barked Off. Bastet Bale checked off Schmoo on the first turn. Banana Blanket checked off Bastet Bale approaching the home turn. Oops checked off Schmoo approaching the home turn, checking Barked Off. Happy Hudson and Pacific Angel collided approaching the winning post.

Hey There Barbie, Oh Lele Peter and Kirabilli Lacey were slow to begin. Hey There Barbie, Oh Lele Peter and Suspicious Sam collided soon after the start. Time's Up Tom, Hunter Rocks and Suspicious Sam collided on the first turn, checking Time's Up Tom and Hunter Rocks. Suspicious Sam and Hey There Barbie collided approaching the winning post. 

Hunter Rocks was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
