Steward's Report
Koch and Yaris Bale were quick to begin. Penance Allen and Vector were slow to begin. Koch and Yaris Bale collided approaching the first turn. Yaris Bale and Dodgy Dede collided on the first turn, checking Vector and New Job Jimmy, and severely checking Yaris Bale and Dodgy Dede. Koch, Bryvon and Ireland's Oyster collided approaching the winning post, checking Ireland's Oyster.
Yaris Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left hind paw, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Dodgy Dede was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triangle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Koch - the winner of the event.
Following the event the Judges semaphored the numbers of 3, 7, 8 and 1. This was amended to the correct numbers of 3, 7, 1 and 8. Prior to the All Clear given, Stewards notified the TAB along with the on course Broadcaster and advised them of this error and both parties were given the correct numbers. Stewards spoke to Judges Mr. M. McNeil and Mr. T. Umbers and advised them to be more vigilant in future and reminded them of their responsibilities.
