A pre-race sample was taken from Miz Josie.
Joni Sunset and Mea Rose were slow to begin. Max Roxy checked off Gotta Permit soon after the start. Miz Josie and My Names Rhonda collided approaching the first turn checking Miz Josie. Miz Josie and Joni Sunset collided on the first turn checking Joni Sunset and severely checking Miz Josie and Mea Rose. Miz Josie galloped on the heels of Mea Rose on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Nat raced wide on the home turn. My Names Rhonda checked off Gotta Permit in the home straight. Nat crossed to the inside approaching the winning post checking Fleur De Rose.
Miz Josie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left groin muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
