Elite Dara was quick to begin. Louie The Legend was slow to begin.
Louie The Legend was checked and subsequently collided with the running rail in the back straight. Louie The Legend underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left foreleg bruising. No stand down period was imposed.
Jairon Bale turned it's head inwards soon after the start and marred Daintree Aster and Daintree Pistol. Jairon Bale underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Lui Forte regarding Jairon Bale's racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Jairon Bale was charged with marring. Mr. Forte pleaded guilty to the charge. Jairon Bale was suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
