Dr. Sherlock and Flywheel Magic were quick to begin. Pictish Mark went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Pictish Mark, Hurunui Jack, McNeo, Dr. Walter and Rockstar Max collided on the first turn checking Dr. Walter, causing Pictish Mark to fall. McNeo checked off Rockstar Max in the back straight. Dr. Sherlock and Flywheel Magic collided in the back straight checking Hurunui Jack, Dr. Sherlock and Flywheel Magic. McNeo checked off Rockstar Max in the back straight. McNeo and Rockstar Max collided approaching the home turn. Flywheel Magic checked off Rockstar Max on the home turn. McNeo and Rockstar Max collided in the home straight. Dr. Sherlock checked off Rockstar Max approaching the winning post.
