Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Turbo Road.
Brooklyn Skye was quick to begin. He Shall Fred and Hogwarts Express were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Dr. Murtle and Turbo Road collided soon after the start. Hogwarts Express checked off Dr. Murtle approaching the first turn. Royal Intention checked off Gothamburg on the first turn. He Shall Fred, Turbo Road and Annabelle's Boy collided on the first turn, severely checking Turbo Road and Annabelle's Boy. Turbo Road and Annabelle's Boy collided on the second turn causing both greyhounds to race wide. Royal Intention and Gothamburg collided on the third turn. Turbo Road eased and pulled up on the third turn. He Shall Fred and Hogwarts Express collided on the home turn.
Turbo Road was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 7. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right hip, right neck muscle and left shoulder, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mrs A. Langdon, Trainer of the greyhound. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Turbo Road with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Langdon pleaded guilty to the charge, Turbo Road was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown Park and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
