Steward's Report

This event was delayed by approx 3mins, as result of the handler of Crackerjack Max arriving at the start with the incorrect racing rug on.

Benta Bale and Crackerjack Max were quick to begin. Blazin' Bomber was slow to begin.

My Boy Snoop and Blazin' Bomber collided on the first turn checking Blazin' Bomber.  Benta Bale and Crackerjack Max collided on the second turn.  Crackerjack Max and Fantastic Sid collided on the third turn.  Benta Bale and Crackerjack Max collided on the home turn.

Following the event stewards spoke to the following people: handler of the greyhound Crackerjack Max Miss L. Courts, Parade Steward/Starter Mrs G. Johnson and GRV Steward Mr S. Todman regarding the circumstances pertaining to the greyhound Crackerjack Max being presented to race with the incorrect race rug. As a result of these inquiries Stewards took the following action:

Miss L. Courts was issued with a reprimand taking into consideration her previous good record;

Mrs G. Johnson to be referred to SGRC Management;

Steward Mr S. Todman to be referred to the GRV Chief Steward.

During the inquiry all parties were reminded to be more vigilant in future when preparing greyhounds for racing.
