Unaffordable checked off Apatchy Racer soon after the start.  Wise Ginger, Apatchy Racer, Precipitation, Aeroplane Kenny and Runaway Shaye collided on the first turn checking Apatchy Racer and severely checking Unaffordable, Aeroplane Kenny and Runaway Shaye, causing Wise Ginger to fall.  Zipping Cash and Bring Sexy Back collided on the third turn.

Wise Ginger was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind leg injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Mepunga Treasure and Dyna Tiber collided soon after the start checking Lister Bale and Dyna Tiber.  Come At Me and Walt Bale collided on the first turn.  Creative Karisma and Mepunga Treasure collided approaching the second turn checking Mepunga Treasure.  Creative Karisma and One Dee collided entering the home straight.  Mepunga Treasure and One Dee collided in the home straight.

Rashad Reason was a late scratching 9.50am due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.

Abscond and Ebert Bale collided soon after the start checking Ebert Bale.  Staggerlicious, Both Sides Now and Abscond collided on the first turn causing Staggerlicious to brush the running rail.  Staggerlicious and Both Sides Now collided approaching the second turn.  Staggerlicious checked off Abscond on the second turn checking Both Sides Now.  Both Sides Now and Abscond collided several times on the home turn and in the home straight checking Both Sides Now.

Feikuai Polly was slow to begin.

Tricky Mover and Time Dimension collided soon after the start.  Tricky Mover and Unix Bale collided on the first turn checking Tricky Mover.  Bourbski Fever and Time Dimension collided on the first turn checking Bouebski Fever.  Feikuai Polly galloped on the heels of Bourbski Fever approaching the second turn.  Tricky Mover and Time Dimension collided on the third turn.  Tricky Mover galloped on the heels of Trace Amount on the fifth turn causing Tricky Mover to fall and severely checking Bourbski Fever, Feikuai Polly, Time Dimension causing Feikuai Polly to fall and Time Dimension to tail off.  Bourbski Fever, Trace Amount and Akina Akeira collided approaching the winning post.

Feikuai polly was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hip/thigh injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Tricky Mover was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Time Dimension was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a small laceration to the left stifle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

This event was delayed by approx 3mins, as result of the handler of Crackerjack Max arriving at the start with the incorrect racing rug on.

Benta Bale and Crackerjack Max were quick to begin. Blazin' Bomber was slow to begin.

My Boy Snoop and Blazin' Bomber collided on the first turn checking Blazin' Bomber.  Benta Bale and Crackerjack Max collided on the second turn.  Crackerjack Max and Fantastic Sid collided on the third turn.  Benta Bale and Crackerjack Max collided on the home turn.

Following the event stewards spoke to the following people: handler of the greyhound Crackerjack Max Miss L. Courts, Parade Steward/Starter Mrs G. Johnson and GRV Steward Mr S. Todman regarding the circumstances pertaining to the greyhound Crackerjack Max being presented to race with the incorrect race rug. As a result of these inquiries Stewards took the following action:

Miss L. Courts was issued with a reprimand taking into consideration her previous good record;

Mrs G. Johnson to be referred to SGRC Management;

Steward Mr S. Todman to be referred to the GRV Chief Steward.

During the inquiry all parties were reminded to be more vigilant in future when preparing greyhounds for racing.

Panda Bale and Zipping Eastwood were quick to begin.  By The Gallon and Springvale Clint were slow to begin.

Lektra Utopia, Rivergum Drive and Golden collided soon after the start.  Lektra Utopia and Rivergum Drive collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Berzerk and Golden collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn.  Golden checked off Texas Titan on the first turn.  Lektra Utopia checked off Golden in the back straight.  Rivergum Drive and Golden collided on the third turn.  Texas Titan and Wadelock Latte collided on the home turn.  Lektra Utopia raced wide in the home straight.

Armed And Ready was quick to begin.  Diego Bale was slow to begin.

Diego Bale and Droopys Bentley collided soon after the start.  Dyna Yemen, Diego Bale and Droopys Bentley collided on the first turn.  Weston East and Xtreme Knocka collided on the first turn checking Ponting's Nail.  Bearville Azza and Armed And Ready collided several times approaching the second turn and on the second turn.  Weston East checked off Armed And Ready on the third turn.

Amaro Bale stumbled soon after the start was slow to begin.

Absolute Power and Yadi collided soon after the start.  Mepunga Armagh and Schooner Doll collided on the first turn.  Absolute Power checked off Mepunga Armagh on the first turn checking Yadi.  Mepunga Armagh checked off Uno Suzie on the third turn.  Uno Suzie and Yadi collided on the home turn checking Uno Suzie.
