A pre-race sample was taken from Daintree Jim upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Kimanator was quick to begin. Ollie Agira was slow to begin. Sweet Lucy, General Remus and Trigger Lee collided on the first turn checking Sweet Lucy and General Remus. Skipalong Kelly, Sweet Lucy and General Remus collided on the first turn severely checking all three greyhounds. Daintree Jim and Lady Camelot collided entering the back straight checking Lady Camelot. Daintree Jim, Kimanator and Trigger Lee collided on the second turn. Ollie Agira checked off Kimanator approaching the home turn. Sweet Lucy, Kimanator and Trigger Lee collided approaching the home turn checking Kimanator and Trigger Lee. Daintree Jim checked off Sweet Lucy on the home turn. Ollie Agira and Skipalong Kelly collided on the home turn. Kimanator, General Remus and Ollie Agira collided in the home straight.
