Steward's Report
Searbrook Dill was a late scratching at 11:14am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness (diarrhoea). A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Mr. J. Higgins, trainer of Star Deli declared a new weight of 28.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Star Deli last raced at 26.9kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Osti's Sprite.
Star Deli, Mylina Shakey and Osti's Sprite were quick to begin. Alouette Josie and Miss Nudge were slow to begin. Huge Storm checked off Mylina Shakey soon after the start and collided with Miss Nudge as a result. Huge Storm and Miss Nudge collided several times approaching the first turn checking Miss Nudge. Miss Nudge contacted the running rail on the first turn. Ivanka Rose contacted the running rail on the first turn.
Miss Nudge was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
