Searbrook Dill was a late scratching at 11:14am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness (diarrhoea).  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. J. Higgins, trainer of Star Deli declared a new weight of 28.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Star Deli last raced at 26.9kgs.

Markom was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right loin muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Curnow was slow to begin.  Goomac Keats, Drogma, Crump's Hussler, Nirranda Hannah, Don's Magic and Mouse Lomar collided soon after the start checking Drogma, Crump's Hussler, Nirranda Hannah and Don's Magic.  Destini Mirror and Goomac Keats collided approaching the first turn.  Crump's Hussler and Don's Magic collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Destini Mirror and Goomac Keats collided on the first turn checking Destini Mirror and Drogma.  Drogma, Crump's Hussler and Nirranda Hannah collided approaching the home turn checking Drogma.  Drogma raced wide in the home straight.

Bring It Brandy, Miracle Gem and Picaninny Queen were slow to begin.  Spring Jester and Picaninny Queen collided approaching the first turn.  Chabay Laray, Miracle Gem and Ice Bomb collided on the first turn checking Miracle Gem and Ice Bomb.  Spring Jester checked off Chabay Laray approaching the home turn. Magic Karma and Crackerjack Boof collided on the home turn.  Picaninny Queen checked off Crackerjack Boof entering the home straight.  Magic Karma and Crackerjack Boof collided several times in the home straight.

Purple Butterfly was slow to begin.  Valoroso was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Smoke Or Fire and Mahlo Hero collided approaching the first turn.  Petite Fleur and Eureka Osti collided on the first turn.  Petite Fleur, Eureka Osti, Smoke Or Fire and Mahlo Hero collided on the first turn checking Petite Fleur, Smoke Or Fire and Eureka Osti.  Mahlo Hero eased in the home straight checking Gundy's Gift, Eureka Osti and Mahlo Hero.  Petite Fleur and Purple Butterfly raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Vassallo, the trainer of the greyhound Mahlo Hero regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Mahlo Hero was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh and a lesion in its mouth.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Mahlo Hero with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Vassallo pleaded guilty to the charge.  Mahlo Hero was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr. V. Humphries, kennel representative of Bambalam Emma declared a new weight of 29.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Bambalam Emma last raced at 27.7kgs.

Bambalam Emma was quick to begin.  Sisco Bizzy, Janray Eagle Eye, Zakarri, Jetmag Sally and Rangiora collided soon after the start checking Parvati Patil, Sisco Bizzy, Janray Eagle Eye, Zakarri and Jetmag Sally.  Janray Eagle Eye contacted the running rail approaching the first turn.  Parvati Patil, Sisco Bizzy, Zakarri and Jetmag Sally collided on the first turn checking Zakarri and severely checking Parvati Patil, Sisco Bizzy, Janray Eagle Eye and Jetmag Sally; Parvati Patil, Sisco Bizzy, Janray Eagle Eye and Jetmag Sally tailed off as a result.  Bambalam Emma, Razzle Oak and Rangiora collided in the home straight checking Rangiora.  Parvati Patil and Jetmag Sally collided several times in the home straight.  Razzle Oak and Rangiora collided approaching the winning post checking Rangiora.
