Goodbye Sam and Stella's Grace were slow to begin. Hello Tamara was checked off Ninetymile Heidi approaching the first turn checking Nolenette and Spazzy Blue. Ninetymile Heidi crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Falcon Flies and Hello Tamara. Nolenette and Stella's Grace collided entering the back straight checking Nolenette. Falcon Flies was checked off Hello Tamara on the second turn. Goodbye Sam and Hello Tamara collided entering the home straight and again several times approaching the winning post.

Every Cloud and Dr. Double Malt were quick to begin. Miss Who and Intro were slow to begin. Aeroplane Jet crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Dr. Poppel, Magnificent Pete and Intro. Aeroplane Jet, Dr. Poppel and Bandit's Girls collided on the first turn checking Dr. Poppel. Miss Who and Magnificent Pete collided on the first turn. Miss Who and Intro collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn checking Miss Who. Every Cloud and Aeroplane Jet collided approaching the home turn. Aeroplane Jet and Magnificent Pete collided on the home turn. Dr. Poppel was checked off Dr. Double Malt entering the home straight checking Bandit's Girls.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. D. Johnston, the trainer of Jay Jay Bee  regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Jay Jay Bee last raced 28 February, 2016 and is returning to racing following an injury to the left shoulder. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Bossy Caleb.

Champagne Model was quick to begin. It's Debatable, Bossy Caleb and Regional Chief were slow to begin. Jay Jay Bee, Down Under and Champagne Model collided soon after the start checking Champagne Model.  Caidan Marlo, Bossy Caleb and Champagne Model collided approaching the first turn checking It's Debatable and Caidan Marlo. Regional Chief crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Jasocate and Down Under and severely checking Jay Jay Bee, It's Debatable and Bossy Caleb were checked as a result. Jasocate raced wide on the first turn. Bossy Caleb was checked off Champagne Model approaching the home turn.  Caiden Marlo and Jay Jay Bee raced wide on the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from To Dee Rhythm.

Barroom Express was slow to begin. Dr. Luvdisc and Sindy's Girl collied soon after the start. Sindy's Girl, Seth's Way and Hey Bail collided on the first turn checking Seth's Way and Hey Bail. Dr. Luvdisc was checked off Daintree Rhumba on the first turn.  Sindy's Girl raced wide in the back straight. To Dee Rhythm was checked off Lulu Noir on the second turn. To Dee Rhythm eased on the second turn. Hey Bail galloped on To Dee Rhythm approaching the home turn checking To Dee Rhythm.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Irby the representative of the greyhound To Dee Rhythm regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn.  To Dee Rhythm was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injured whip muscles, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged To Dee Rhythm with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mr. Irby pleaded guilty to the charge, To Dee Rhythm was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Zall Over.

My Lady Limonite and Cheerful Scout were quick to begin.  Rozehill Skye and Cashino collided soon after the start.  My Lady Limonite crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Cheerful Scout, Zall Over, Rozehill Skye and Cashino.  Rozehill Skye and Cashino collided on the first turn.  Lonesome Dude crossed to the outside and eased approaching the second turn causing Anjing Betina to race wide.  Zall Over and Anjing Betina collided on the third turn.  Cheerful Scout and Rozehill Skye collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. K. Fogarty the trainer of the greyhound Lonesome Dude regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn.  Lonesome Dude was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right wrist, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Lonesome Dude with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mrs. Fogarty pleased guilty to the charge, Lonesome Dude was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zipping Comet and Kelly Hook were slow to begin. Unimaginable, Kelly Hook and Irish Mobster collided on the first turn.  Lonesome Katie and Sonny's Honey collided on the first turn. Sunny Breaks was checked off Sonny's Honey on the first turn severley checking Irish Mobster which raced wide and lost considerable ground. Unimaginable and Kelly Hook collided approaching the second turn. Sunny Breaks and Arejay Belle collided approaching the second turn. Unimaginable was checked off Kelly Hook on the second turn causing Arejay Belle to gallop on Unimaginable checking Sunny Breaks as a result. Zipping Comet was checked off Sonny's Honey entering the back straight. Zipping Comet and Kelly Hook collided on the third turn checking Kelly Hook. Zipping Comet was checked off Sonny's Honey on the third turn and again approaching the home turn.

Andy Jay and Reatily Shintaro collided soon after the start checking Andy Jay. Shine and Barroom Counsel collided soon after the start checking Barroom Counsel. Andy Jay was checked off Reatily Shintaro approaching the first turn. Willowvale Brezz, Shine and Willowvale Storm collided on the first turn checking Barroom Counsel and severely checking Shine and Willowvale Storm. Shine and Barroom Counsel collided on the second turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dagwood.

Dagwood, Henry Lee and Coalville Tiger collided soon after the start.  Johnny Mobster, Dagwood and Henry Lee collided approaching the first turn.  Dagwood contacted the running rail on the first turn. Apollo's Twin was checked off Woofenden on the first turn. Machiko, Woofenden and My Boy Ollie collided on the first turn causing Johnny Mobster to gallop on Woofenden severely checking Johnny Mobster and Woofenden. Henry Lee and Coalville Tiger collided on the first turn. Dagwood and Woofenden collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Machiko contacted the running rail on the third turn and lost ground.

Machiko was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Dagwood was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured neck, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Bodacious was slow to begin. Rozehill Lisa and Dr. Bodacious collided soon after the start checking Dr. Bodacious. Mint Burst and Tiger Whelan collided soon after the start checking Tiger Whelan. Lucky Tetris crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Elswyk Max, Tiger Whelan and Zelemar Doll. Elswyk Max and Zelemar Doll collided approaching the second turn checking Tiger Whelan and severely checking Elswyk Max. Elswyk Max and Rozehill Lisa collided on the second turn checking Elswyk Max.

Beautiful Rick was quick to begin.  Mick Mow and Zelemar Zonk collided soon after the start.  Customized was checked off Le Doyen on the first turn checking Andiamo Neo, Dr. Yanma and Dr. Valhalla. Mick Mow and Zelemar Zonk collided on the first turn causing Mick Mow to gallop on Zelemar Zonk. Mick Mow, Andiamo Neo and Dr. Yanma collided entering the back straight causing Andiamo Neo to gallop on Dr. Yanma severely checking Dr. Yanma. Zelemar Zonk and Andiamo Neo collided on the second turn checking Zelemar Zonk.

Rylies Jack and Cowrie were slow to begin.  Sharnica crossed to the rail soon after the start checking She's Dee Rocket and severley checking Fallen Star which stumbled.  Rylies Jack and Cowrie collided approaching the first turn.  Phil's In Luck amd Izumi collided on the first turn.  Sharnica was checked off Falcao on the first turn.  Rylies Jack, She's Dee Rocket and Sharnica collided on the first turn checking She's Dee Rocket and Cowrie.  Rylies Jack was checked off Sharnica approaching the home turn.  She's Dee Rocket and Cowrie collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Rylies Jack and Fallen Star collided entering the home straight and again several times in the home straight.  Rylies Jack crossed to the rail approaching the winning post checking Fallen Star, She's Dee Rocket and Cowrie.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Gilmore the representative of Select Selwood regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Select Selwood last raced 12 Janurary, 2016 and is returing to racing after a short retirement. 

Mrs. J. McMahon, the trainer of Moore Of Darcy declared a new weight of 36.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Moore Of Darcy last raced at 34.9kgs. 

Oakmont Blonde was quick to begin.  Love Capers was slow to begin.  Tricky Trey, Select Selwood and Explosive Sky collided soon after the start.  Tricky Trey and Elswyk Gal collided approaching the first turn.  Oakmont Blonde and Elswyk Gal collided on the first turn checking Oakmont Blonde.  Lady Hook was checked off Moore Of Darcy entering the back straight.  Love Capers and Tricky Trey collided on the second turn checking Explosive Sky.  Oakmont Blonde raced wide approaching the home turn.
