Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from To Dee Rhythm.
Barroom Express was slow to begin. Dr. Luvdisc and Sindy's Girl collied soon after the start. Sindy's Girl, Seth's Way and Hey Bail collided on the first turn checking Seth's Way and Hey Bail. Dr. Luvdisc was checked off Daintree Rhumba on the first turn. Sindy's Girl raced wide in the back straight. To Dee Rhythm was checked off Lulu Noir on the second turn. To Dee Rhythm eased on the second turn. Hey Bail galloped on To Dee Rhythm approaching the home turn checking To Dee Rhythm.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Irby the representative of the greyhound To Dee Rhythm regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn. To Dee Rhythm was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injured whip muscles, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged To Dee Rhythm with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Irby pleaded guilty to the charge, To Dee Rhythm was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
