Steward's Report
Day Me Guava and Jay Walker Rose were quick to begin. Brindle Motion was slow to begin. Black Smiley was very slow to begin.
Jay Walker Rose (marred Day Me Guava turning off the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mrs. Sharon Chignell regarding Jay Walker Rose’s racing manners turning off the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Jay Walker Rose was charged with marring. Mrs. Chignell pleaded guilty to the charge. Jay Walker Rose was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Paw Denver - the winner of the event.
There was no head on vision in the back straight for this event.
