Karuna and Magic Dark Star were quick to begin.
Flying Butcher (raced awkwardly turning out of the front straight and subsequently lost ground) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of fitness to be produced before any further nominations are accepted for Flying Butcher, in accordance with GAR19(3)(w).
