Puppy's Revenge and Dee Gee Haitch were slow out. Excellent Talent crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Bourneuf Sophie. Excellent Talent, Bourneuf Sophie and Crafti Toni collided at the 300mtr mark checking Bourneuf Sophie. Toe Toe Bo and Super Fly collided at the 250mtr mark and again at the 200mtr mark checking both greyhounds. Super Fly faltered and tailed off at the 150mtr mark. Toe Toe Bo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a lower back injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Super Fly was vetted and after being revetted following race 6; it was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the pectoral and left pencil muscles, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to C. Medcraft regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Toe Toe Bo. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that Toe Toe Bo be boxed first in future events.
