Steward's Report
May Knight was slow out. Run Forrest, Turnout and Smurf's Cool collided soon after the start checking Run Forrest and Smurf's Cool. Babylon Hotel and May Knight collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Trying, Turnout, Smurf's Cool and Tevez collided on the first turn checking Trying, Turnout and Smurf's Cool. May Knight galloped on the heels of Smurf's Cool on the first turn. Trying and Turnout raced wide in the home straight.
May Knight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Magpie Bob - winner of the event.
Steward's spoke to Mr. I. Hastie regarding his failure to retrieve his greyhound for racing by the allotted time. Steward's reminded Mr. Hastie of his responsibilities regarding this matter.
