A pre-race sample was taken from Flirtful.
Flirtful and Dr. Eloise were slow out. Boothy's Man and Kumta Smoke collided soon after the start. Flirtful and Dr. Eloise collided soon after the start. Kumta Smoke and Poptart collided on the first turn. Enchanting Lee raced wide on the first turn. Poptart, Sticky Jo and Enchanting Lee collided on the third turn checking Poptart and Sticky Jo.
Boothy's Man was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent with the greyhound. Boothy's Man was revetted. It was reported that the greyhound was found to be injured in the right shoulder, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
