Sisco Buzz was a late withdrawal at 1.20pm by Order of Stewards after it was established and subsequently confirmed by GRV Chief Grader that the greyhound was ineligible to contest in the event.
Slick Comet was slow out. George's Folly and Celta Cindy collided soon after the start. Celta Cindy checked off the heels of Fortified Ruler on the first turn. Goodrem Bale checked off the heels of George's Folly in the back straight. Fortified Ruler, Goodrem Bale and George's Folly collided on the home turn.
