Steward's Report
Gogo Dancer was slow out. Rich Heritage and Skinny Mocha collided on the first turn checking Rich Heritage, Skinny Mocha and Carioka Lil. Gogo Dancer and Carioka Lil collided in the front straight. Rich Heritage checked off the heels of Extreme Heights on the second turn. Extreme Heights and Skinny Mocha collided approaching the home turn. Skinny Mocha checked off the heels of Benowa Rocket in the home straight.
Carioka Lil was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to be injured in the left hamstring and a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Thunder Rolls was pronounced clinically dead by Dr. C. Forbes after the greyhound collapsed in the Catching Pen at the completion of the event.
Samples were taken from Thunder Rolls.
Stewards also directed an autopsy be conducted on the greyhound.
