A pre-race swab was taken from Weepin' Bell.
Bank Bonus was slow out. Model Galore and Spirit Of Joy collided soon after the start. Bank Bonus crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Bourne Hypo, Spirit Of Joy and Model Galore. Desirable Drop, Weepin' Bell and Hot Cockatoo collided on the second turn. Weepin' Bell checked off the heels of Hot Cockatoo entering the back straight. Hot Cockatoo and Bank Bonus collided on the third turn and again on the home turn. Hot Cockatoo, Bank Bonus and Bourne Hypo collided approaching the winning post.
