Heartgift, Mr. Big Shot, Michigan Bale and Kippy Kya were slow out. Mr. Big Shot and Ghostly Phantom collided soon after the start. Heartgift and Ghostly Phantom collided on the first turn checking Mr. Big Shot and Michigan Bale. Heartgift faltered approaching the second turn and tailed off as a result. Heartgift and Kippy Kya collided on the second turn. Ghostly Phantom and Nickleby collided approaching the home turn. Arvo's Montana was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Heartgift was vetted following the event. Heartgift was revetted and it was reported that the greyhound sustained mild soreness to the left monkey muscle, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Stewards deemed the performance of Heartgift unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 101, Stewards directed that Heartgift must perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, before any future nomination will be accepted.
