Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Harbour Ben prior to the event.
Proven Keel and Harbour Ben were slow out. Harbour Ben, Cloverdale Blue and Mascara Shade collided on the first turn. Poppy's Lipstick, Shirdon Pixie and Proven Keen collided on the first turn checking Poppy's Lipstick. Shirdon Pixie galloped on the heels of Cloverdale Blue approaching the home turn checking Shirdon Pixie. Harbour Ben and Mascara Shade collided on the home turn. Cloverdale Blue and Mascara Shade collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Special Thyme and Ruby Dooby Doo collided in the home straight.
Shirdon Pixie was vetted after the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a stiffness in the left shoulder. A 5 day stand down was imposed.
Shirdon Pixie was re-vetted after race 7. It was reported that the greyhound had sustained a torn left monkey muscle. A 21 days stand down was imposed.
