Akeela Lad was a late scratching at 12:45pm due to injury.
Touche Terrah, Rilashco and April Fools Day were slow out. Rilashco and April Fools Day collided soon after the start checking April Fools Day. Ranonbi crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Touche Terrah and Kay Gee Princess. Touche Terrah and Rilashco raced wide on the second turn. Touche Terrah and Rilashco raced wide on the fourth turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr.T.Churchill, the trainer of Touche Terrah. Stewards deemed the performance of Touche Terrah unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 101, Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a STAT before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mrs.T.Jones, the trainer of Rilashco. Stewards deemed the performance of Rilashco unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 101, Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a STAT before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards also inquired in to the nomination of Rilashco in the event tonight as the greyhound was backing up from competing at Bendigo, 2 days prior over the 430 metres. Trainer Mrs.T.Jones explained to the stewards that she had previously trialed the greyhound at Cranbourne over the 699 metres and she was of the opinion that the greyhound was fit enough to compete in tonights event.Stewards noted her explanation.
