This Event was put back one race to commence at 9.54 p.m. due to a partial lighting failure on course. It was reported to the Stewards that a power pole had been struck within the vicinity as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Stewards directed that all events on the remainder of the program be put back one race and were re-scheduled to start as follows - R8 (10.18 p.m.), R9 (10.38 p.m.) and R10 (10.55 p.m.). Coulta Pine was slow out. Lucky Penna and Pepper Pot collided soon after the start. Pepper Pot and Pristine Idol collided on the first turn checking Gemtrea Cassie. Pristine Idol and Von Steinberg collided on the second turn checking Von Steinberg. Coulta Pine checked off the heels of Probability on the third turn. Probability and Pepper Pot collided on the fourth turn checking Pristine Idol. Coulta Tess and Lucky Penna collided on the home turn. Probability and Pepper Pot collided entering the home straight checking Coulta Pine. A swab sample was taken from Lucky Penna, the winner of the Event.
