Steward's Report
Vividity was a late withdrawal at 4.20 p.m. due to illness. Acting in accordance with AGRR 6(4), the Stewards will stand Vividity down from competing for ten days.
Tenor's Image was slow out and collided with World Play soon after the start. World Play and Hotshow Vintage collided approaching the first turn. Spicy Shiraz, Tenor's Image and World Play collided on the first turn. Tenor's Image checked off the heels of Spicy Shiraz in the front straight. Spicy Shiraz checked off the heels of World Play on the third turn. Spicy Shiraz and Miracle Knight collided approaching the finishing line.
Spicy Shiraz was vetted following the Event and Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound was found to be injured in the right thigh. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Bell, the Stewards will stand Spicy Shiraz down from competing for 5 days. Stewards issued a warning to Trainer, David Chiu, regarding the manner in which Spicy Shiraz raced approaching the finishing line.
