Steward's Report
Sole Intent, Green Park and Mr. Boswell were slow out. Greenlea Prince checked off the heels of Bentley Babe on the first turn. Busy Affair and Heady Freddie collided on the first turn checking Heady Freddie. Busy Affair raced wide on the second turn. Sole Intent, Mr. Boswell and Greenlea Prince collided on the fifth turn checking Greenlea Prince. Red Beadman veered in and fought Bentley Babe approaching the finishing line.
Red Beadman was vetted following the Event and Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound. Stewards charged Red Beadman under AGRR 80.1 for fighting approaching the finishing line. After taking evidence from Trainer, Peter Byrne, acting on their own observations and viewing the official video film, the Stewards found Red Beadman guilty as charged. Acting in accordance with AGRR 81.3, the Stewards will stand Red Beadman down from competing for 12 months on all tracks and will be required to perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted.
A swab sample was taken from Red Beadman, the winner of the Event.
