Steward's Report
Dragon was slow out and collided with Jimbo soon after the start. Anna Belle Bayle and Frisco Bay collided soon after the start. Henerik Bale, Frisco Bay and Wacky Tiger collided approaching the first turn. Frisco Bay checked off the heels of Wacky Tiger on the first turn and raced wide checking Dragon and Jimbo. Frisco Bay galloped on the heels of Jimbo approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds. Henerik Bale and Wacky Tiger collided on the second turn. City Kid, Henerik Bale and Addict's Actor collided on the home turn.
Anna Belle Bayle was vetted following the Event and after being re-vetted, Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound.
At the request of Trainer, Peter West, City Kid was vetted following the Event after it was established that the greyhound appeared to injure itself on pulling up in the catching pen. Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, subsequently reported that City Kid had sustained a head injury. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Bell, the Stewards will stand City Kid down from competing for 14 days.
