Steward's Report
Faith Tim was slow out. Testya Patience was very slow out. Grey Gown and Clovalley Happy collided soon after the start checking Rue De Paris. Clovalley Happy checked off Pulse Jet causing Clovalley Happy and Rue De Paris to collide on the first turn. Grey Gown and Pulse Jet collided approaching the home turn. Grey Gown checked off Pulse Jet on the home turn. Clovalley Happy, Rue De Paris and Testya Patience raced wide on the home turn. Grey Gown eased several times in the home straight.
Grey Gown was vetted after the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the third digit left hind foot. A 7 day stand down was imposed.
Acting under GAR 98(1)(d), the stewards charged Grey Gown with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT before any future nomination will be accepted.
