Steward's Report

A pre race sample was taken from Howdy George. Tandar Lass was quick to begin. Henry Stomper wsas slow to begin. Major Nuisance, Vuvuzela, Ultra Spin and Spitfire Shiraz collided soon after the start checking Major Nuisance, Vuvuzela and Ultra Spin. Ultra Spin faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off as a result. Tandar Lass, Howdy George and Riverside Buzz collided on the first turn checking Tandar Lass. Major Nuisance checked off Spitfire Shiraz on the first turn. Vuvuzela galloped on the heels of Major Nuisance approaching the home turn. Henry Stomper was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its tongue, no stand down period was imposed. Ultra Spin was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed. Spitfire Shiraz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right monkey muscle and right hock, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
