The start of this race was delayed by 2 minutes to hold for an interstate gallops race.
Flaming Causeway, Alpha Aphrodite and All Bolts collided soon after the start checking All Bolts. Alpha Aphrodite and Lola's Entity collided on the first turn checking Lola's Entity. Spa Peter raced wide approaching the home turn. Ricardo Racer and Crymelon Monarch collided on the home turn and again in the home straight. Crymelon Monarch checked off Flaming Causeway in the home straight. Crymelon Monarch galloped on the heels of Laura Dora approaching the winning post checking Laura Dora.
Laura Dora was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
