Steward's Report
Queen Hera and Dungarvan were slow to begin. Wicky Secret and Moon And Back collided soon after the start, checking Wicky Secret. Kiria Lason and Hi Laddie collided soon after the start. Under Taker and Queen Hera collided soon after the start. Wicky Secret and Hi Laddie collided approaching the first turn. Kiria Lason and Thursday Sip collided on the first turn, checking Wicky Secret, Under Taker, Queen Hera and severely checking Hi Laddie and Kiria Lason; Kiria Lason stumbled and lost ground as a result. Hi Laddie tailed off on the third turn. Moon And Back and Under Taker collided entering the home straight.
Hi Laddie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right thigh injury; a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. M. Jones declined to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr. M Jones, the trainer of the greyhound Hi Laddie. Stewards deemed the performance of Hi Laddie unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Hi Laddie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
