Navaho, Dirty Paws, Akina Akeira and Allen Firestorm collided approaching the first turn, checking Dirty Paws and severely checking Akina Akeira and Miss Jacovella, both greyhounds tailed off as a result. Navaho checked off Allen Firestorm entering the back straight. Allen Firestorm checked off Pason Sander approaching the home turn. Peter Pettigrew checked off Du Plessis in the home straight.
Akina Akeria was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Miss Jacovella was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right hamstring, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
