Novacorum and Lonesome Honey collided soon after the start. Garman Bale crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Master Phelps and Novacorum. Kilcolegan Cross and Lonesome Honey collided approaching the first turn checking Lonesome Honey. Kilcolegan Cross checked off Novacorum approaching the first turn. Lite Beam and Francesco collided approaching the home turn. Kilcolegan Cross and Novacorum collided in the home straight.  Stewards issued a warning to Donna Sturgess, the trainer of Lite Beam regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Lite Beam was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right hamstring, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
