Sting Like Ali was slow to begin, stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result.

Maungi Choice and Blue Suede Girl collided on the first turn severely checking Blue Suede Girl, Lila's Girl and Sting Like Ali, Sting Like Ali fell as a result. Blue Suede Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured the left quadriceps and hamstring and a sprained left hind digit, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Sting Like Ali was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left triceps, right quadriceps and spike wounds to the right hind, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Lila's Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Sally Gardens checked off Mouquet Farm approaching the first turn. Hetalia Bale checked off Rashad Reason on the first turn, checking Mouquet Farm. Pobblebonk and Ultimate Bale collide on the first turn. Sally Gardens and Enjoy Cruising collided entering the home straight and in the home straight.

Novacorum and Lonesome Honey collided soon after the start. Garman Bale crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Master Phelps and Novacorum. Kilcolegan Cross and Lonesome Honey collided approaching the first turn checking Lonesome Honey. Kilcolegan Cross checked off Novacorum approaching the first turn. Lite Beam and Francesco collided approaching the home turn. Kilcolegan Cross and Novacorum collided in the home straight.  Stewards issued a warning to Donna Sturgess, the trainer of Lite Beam regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Lonesome Honey was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left quadriceps and hamstring, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Miss Jacovella was slow to begin.

Navaho, Dirty Paws, Akina Akeira and Allen Firestorm collided approaching the first turn, checking Dirty Paws and severely checking Akina Akeira and Miss Jacovella, both greyhounds tailed off as a result. Navaho checked off Allen Firestorm entering the back straight. Allen Firestorm checked off Pason Sander approaching the home turn. Peter Pettigrew checked off Du Plessis in the home straight.

Rumero Reason was slow to begin.

Velocemente and Double Rinse collided approaching the first turn, checking Double Rinse. Velocemente and Scanez Cee collided entering the back straight. Rumero Reason, Thor Bale and Wattle Grove collided on the second turn, checking Thor Bale and Scanez Cee and severely checking Double Rinse, Rumero Reason and Velocemente, Velocemente fell as a result. Scanez Cee raced wide in the home straight.

A sample was taken from Filius Flitwick, the winner of the event.

Sweet Diva was a late scratching at 2.09p.m. due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bruiser Norris and Kid Maximus collided approaching the first turn. Al Moran checked off Bruiser Norris approaching the first turn. Going Cosmic and Bruiser Norris collided approaching the first turn checking Bruiser Norris. Gaudi checked off Universal Size on the first turn, checking Going Cosmic and severely checking Bruiser Norris and Kid Maximus.

Jackpot Shiraz was quick to begin.

Elly's Dream, Forensics and Vapour Caper collided soon after the start, checking Forensics and Vapour Caper. Say Again checked off Claretown Bart approaching the first turn. Authentic Ace checked off Jackpot Shiraz on the first turn. Forensics and Vapour Caper collided approaching the home turn, on the home turn and entering the home straight. 

Lavie Belle and Magic Of Beam collided soon after the start. Crackerjack Burn, In The Flesh, Quarrel Bale and Irish Asteria collided soon after the start. Crackerjack Burn and Magic of Beam collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Magic Of Beam. Lavie Bell severely checked off In The Flesh on the first turn severely checking Crackerjack Burn. Flame Bale checked off Quarrel Bale approaching the home turn, checking Irish Asteria. Lavie Belle raced wide in the home straight. Quarrel Bale and Minute River collided approaching the winning post.

Alice Fox severely checked off Belena Prince on the first turn, severely checking Stolen Gem. Be Tea Oh and Joot Jimberson collided approaching the home turn checking Be Tea Oh. Stolen Gem galloped on the heels of Alice Fox approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.

Be Tea Oh was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Altona Girl trialled over the 390m from box one, weight 27.1kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.30, the greyhound won by a margin of 7 lengths. Altona Girl was cleared.
