Steward's Report

Patch In Time was a late scratching at 4.20pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right fore. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Burnsy's Bindi and Jamron were slow to begin. Jamron and Tutu Cute collided soon after the start. Oriental Blaze checked off the heels of Sheza Runaway approaching the first turn. Burnsy's Bindi and Jamron collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Oriental Blaze, Trying and Shanron Girl collided on the first turn, checking Oriental Blaze and Trying. Burnsy's Bindi checked off the heels of Jamron approaching the home turn. Burnsy's Bindi raced wide on the home turn. Oriental Blaze cramped approaching the winning post. Oriental Blaze was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mrs R Busutil, the trainer of Oriental Blaze. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
